A scheme was created to provide four flats and a retail unit on a tight urban site. The site had been vacant for a number of years due to complicated site constraints consisting of neighbouring properties built on two sides of the plot and the front of the site positioned in a busy shopping area. The design of the scheme had to include for these site constraints within the construction process and allowing areas to be created for site storage.
